Exact model list
Start with the tumbler model named by the barrel seller or manufacturer.
Outside dimensions
The barrel has to sit between guides and contact the drive roller correctly.
Closure hardware
Lid, gasket, retainer and knob style must match the barrel design.
Working weight
A compatible barrel still has to stay within the machine’s supported loaded capacity.
Why a dedicated polish barrel can help
Fine polish is sensitive to contamination. Keeping a second compatible barrel only for the finishing stage reduces one place where coarse grit can hide. It does not replace careful cleaning of the stones, media and tools.
When a new barrel will not solve the problem
| Symptom | Likely system to inspect |
|---|---|
| Barrel stalls or slips | Belt, rollers, pulley, load and guide alignment |
| Barrel walks sideways | Guides, roller alignment, load balance |
| New barrel still leaks | Lid seating, closure sequence and exact compatibility |
| Motor slows with normal load | Drive system or motor service—not the barrel alone |
