Editorial Policy

Rules for research, attribution, affiliate content, AI-assisted workflows, corrections and the claims allowed on this site.

People-first purpose

Pages are commissioned because they answer a real question or help complete a real task. We do not create near-duplicate pages simply to capture small variations of the same search query.

No fabricated experience

We do not claim to own, use or test a product unless that occurred. Research-based content can summarize and analyze credible evidence, but it must not be written in a way that implies first-hand use.

Original value

Product pages should add analysis, decision criteria, comparisons, calculations, original media or other useful context beyond rewriting a manufacturer description. Informational pages should explain the process clearly enough for a reader to act.

AI-assisted work

Software may assist with outlining, editing, code, data organization or drafting. Publication still requires human review for accuracy, usefulness, unsupported claims, duplication and consistency. Automation is not a reason to publish pages that add no value.

Sources and conflicts

Important technical or product claims should be supported by primary documentation when available. Affiliate relationships are disclosed and do not guarantee favorable treatment.

Updates and corrections

Evergreen pages are reviewed when products change, instructions are superseded or evidence shows the existing guidance is no longer reliable. Corrections are prioritized according to potential reader impact.
